Kyoto Sweater

Hi All! It has been a while since I have shared what I have been making with you. My latest make (which I finished a couple of weeks ago now) is the Kyoto Sweater by Papercut Patterns. Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while will know that last year I made a stripe Kyoto Tee. The Kyoto tee is my most worn ‘me made’ item so far! I love the fit, the length and the cute frills which give it a little bit extra than your standard top.

I have wanted to make the sweater version for a long time, but could never find a fabric I was 100% happy with. When Lauren from Guthrie & Ghani posted about the Chat Chocolat Mustard Mackerals organic cotton sweatshirting fabric I just knew that I had to make the Kyoto Sweater with it! The fabric was so easy to work with and it’s so fluffy and soft on the inside, its perfect for cosing up in.

The Kyoto Sweater pattern is so easy to follow with only 10 pattern pieces. Although, I did make the mistake of cutting the fabric with the stretch going the wrong way! (rookie mistake), so the waistband is a little tight, but other than that I am super happy with it.

This is definiately a pattern I will be using over and over again!

Let me know what you think!
