My Papercut Kyoto

After finally finishing my exams (10 years of hard work -fingers crossed I pass) I am back sewing again!! I have been working on some Boola Bears (which I love), but my main passion is making my own clothes! – YEY to a me made wardrobe!!

I had some striped jersey fabric in my stash, which I bought from Crafty Sew and So back in February. Originally I planned to make a Tilly and the Buttons Agnes top with the fabric, but I saw the Kyoto Tee by Papercut Patterns online and fell in love with it!! The pattern called for a light to medium weight stretch fabric and thought the striped jersey would be prefect.

The packaging of the pattern was beautiful! I love how it is 100% recyclable and allows you to make your own instruction booklet. The instructions were really easy to follow and with only 7 pieces the tee was super easy to make!

The loose fit and is perfect for this hot weather we have been having recently! I have worn it twice and have been asked to make it for so many people already!

I have plans to make the sweater version ready for the cooler weather, as well as many more tees – it is definitely going to be a wardrobe staple of mine!

I’m hoping to buy some more paper cut patterns in the future. I really like the look of their Sapporo Coat, which I am hoping to make in the next few months ready for autumn.

I think this is the garment I’m most proud of so far! As you can see from the photos I LOVE this pattern!!
