Ultimate Shift Dress

I have finally finished my first Ultimate Shift Dress from the Sew Over It pattern range. I found the instructions really easy to follow, but wasn’t a smooth ride as I accidentally burnt my material! Oops! Luckily I bought spare, so it wasn’t too much of a disaster. Overall I am really happy with the finish.

I chose to make the short version of the Dress (as I am a little short myself) with the cropped sleeve. I love the sleeve length but think I will make the dress slightly longer next time, as I would like to be able to wear the next dress without tights.

There are many versions of the dress available within the one pattern. You can chose a long or short length as well as short, cropped or long sleeves. The pattern also comes with an option to make a top – which is definitely on my to do list!

The back has a little hook and eye with an opening, which I think is really flattering.

This dress is so simple and can be dressed up or left casual, I will definitely be making some more for everyday wear! I need to get fabric shopping!

Let me know what you think. I am still debating whether to change this one into a top? I would love to hear your opinions!
