Keepsake Quilt

Since the beginning of this year I have sewn so many different items including, keepsake bears, lions and bunnies, a dress, a cushion cover and I have started a skirt. However my biggest challenge to date is the keepsake quilt I have finally completed.

I love sewing and sew every chance I get, so combining my passion with a small business ‘Boola Made’ is the best thing I have done.

One thing I pride myself on is always trying to make a clients wish a reality. One of my clients asked me to make a keepsake quilt for a single bed, which of course I agreed to. For me it was a massive challenge. I have made quilts in the past, but not one so big and with such a stretchy material – Baby grows.

I love the backing material I chose to compliment the quilt, which is a soft baby pink dimple fleece – I feel like it gives it a luxurious touch. Finishing the quilt with bias binding took me three attempts – but it was all worth wait!

I am proud of the finished product and just hope the quilt is everything my client wished for!

I can not wait to see what other little projects I can get my teeth into next, although there is talk of Mini Boola Bears! So keep an eye out!
